ASHEBORO, North Carolina (March 21, 2011) - - Ryan Wilson driver of the No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry delivered two top-10 finishes at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway Saturday night but for the Randleman, North Carolina native the finishes weren’t good enough.

Wilson rebounded nicely after a mechanical malfunction resulted in a 14th place finish the week before at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway but after grabbing the pole and drawing second in the first 50-lap event on Saturday night, Wilson battled handling during the quick shootout and slid in the eighth position.

Starting ninth in the second feature, a series of adjustments by the Ryan Wilson Motorsports (RWM) team paid off with the No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry skillfully maneuvering through the field to post a third place finish.

“The finishes were a solid rebound from the week before but I’m not satisfied,” said the determined Wilson. “We just couldn’t dial in our No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry. We were much better the second race than we were the first race but still we weren’t quick enough to get in victory lane. We’ll keep digging and come back next week and try again.”

The winner of last Fall’s Richard Petty Driver Search II was outspoken about his initiative at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway. “We’re here to win and eventually take home the championship,” Wilson sounded. “We have a great team and are blessed to have such incredible support from the folks at Randolph Bank. I don’t take losing easy, but I guess that’s the intense racer in me. We’ll regroup this week and try again next Saturday night.”

Round three for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series at Caraway resumes on Saturday, March 26 with a 100-lap event beginning shortly after 7:00 p.m. Eastern.
