ATLANTA (October 26, 2009) – WHEEGO ELECTRIC CARS, – manufacturer of all-electric cars today announced the premier members of its nationwide dealer network.

“We have signed 16 dealers across the country to sell the Wheego Whip,” said Wheego CEO Mike McQuary. “These are well-established dealers with a strong reputation for sales experience and customer service. They understand the changing face of automotive technology in this country, and want to lead the charge. We are proud to have them represent our brand.”

The new dealers are taking delivery of cars now. “As a pioneer in Electric Vehicles we have been focused only on the best product lines available for our fleet and retail customers”, explains Jim Johnson, Founder and Chairman of MC Electric Vehicles in Seattle, Washington. “We have found the fit and finish plus performance of the Wheego MSEV to be outstanding. And, as one of the world’s largest Electric Vehicle dealers, we look for and require outstanding product support from the manufacturer. Wheego has demonstrated their commitment to provide excellent parts and service for their cars. We also believe there should continue to be a market need for lower speed short range vehicles in the overall transportation plans of our society. The ability to have a highway speed vehicle in the future also complements the Wheego brand.”

Jim Casper, of Troy Auto World in Troy, Michigan feels his customers will appreciate the environmental advantages of the Wheego. “We’re really excited about the truly innovative vehicles that Wheego is bringing to market. Both the initial low-speed variant, and the forthcoming full-speed vehicles offer consumers a stylish way to greatly decrease their personal carbon footprints. Wheego President Jeff Boyd is conducting interviews with potential dealers across the country. “We will be on a road show through the southern U.S. in November and December, showcasing the Wheego to dealers and seeing if there is a good fit in terms of location, dealer experience and commitment to customer service.” Interested dealers should contact Jeff Boyd at jboyd@wheego.net.

The initial Wheego offering is the Whip, which is available now. The Whip is an all-electric LSV (Low Speed Vehicle) which can drive on roads with posted speed limits of 35 miles per hour or less. A full-speed Wheego Whip all-electric car is expected in 2010. The Wheego Whip LSV is a fully-loaded two-seat compact car with fit, finish and features that compete with any other subcompact car on the market. Features include remote keyless entry, air conditioning, and an MP3 stereo system. The all-electric Wheego Whip LSV runs on sealed lead-acid batteries and can be charged from a standard household outlet. It qualifies for a $7500 Federal Tax Credit through the end of 2009.
