Albanian Bus Plunges Off Cliff, 12 Dead

At least 12 people have been killed in Albania after the bus they were in went off a cliff.

Officials said the bus was on its way to Fushe-Arrez, about 130 kilometers north of the capital of Tirana Saturday when it plunged off the cliff.

A police spokesman told the Associated Press that the bus had been driving in “rough weather” at the time of the accident.

Officials said at least 16 passengers were injured, some seriously. The French news agency said helicopters were being used to fly the injured to a hospital in Tirana.
