Applications for approval of transactions: The FTC has received an application for approval for a transaction from the following. The FTC is seeking public comments on the application for 30 days, until April 28.

Mahle GMBH of Stuttgart, Germany, has applied for FTC approval to divest Metal Leve, Inc. and certain assets of Metal Leve S.A. to T&N Industries Inc., a Delaware Corporation. Divestiture is required under a February 1997 consent order settling charges that Mahle’s acquisition of Metal Leve, S.A. and Metal Leve, Inc. violated antitrust laws by substantially reducing competition in the markets for articulated, large-bore pistons used in diesel engines.
