Pursuant to the National Cooperative Research and Production Act 
of 1993--Research Into Automotive Weathersealing Systems

    Notice is hereby given that, on May 11, 1994, pursuant to Section 
6(a) of the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993, 
15 U.S.C. 4301 et seq. ) ``the Act''), Schlegel Corporation, on behalf 
of the members of the cooperative research agreement and production 
agreement entitled the Mutual Cooperation Agreement (the 
``Agreement''), filed written notifications simultaneously with the 
Attorney General and the Federal Trade Commission disclosing (1) the 
identities of the parties to the Agreement and (2) the nature and 
objectives of the Agreement. The notifications were filed for the 
purpose of involving the Act's provisions limiting the recovery of 
antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances. 
Pursuant to Section 6(b) of the Act, the identities of the parties are 
Schlegel Corporation, Rochester, NY and Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd., 
Nishikasugai-gun, JAPAN. The nature of the Agreement is to provide, on 
a project-by-project basis, mutual assistance in the research, design 
and manufacture of automotive weathersealing materials and systems, and 
to evaluate and enhance certain production methods in order to improve 
worker productivity, manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
    Schlegel Corporation and Toyoda Gosei Co., Ltd., have entered into 
a written agreement to participate in the projects, and it is 
anticipated that subsidiary and affiliated companies of both parties 
also will participate in projects covered by the Agreement.
