WHITESVILLE, Kentucky (September 28, 2009) - - Officials from Sheltra Motorsports and MC2 Energy Drink jointly announced today that the Las Vegas, Nevada Energy Drink will join driver Patrick Sheltra for a double header race weekend consisting of the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Nationwide Series events from Kansas Speedway.

Sheltra will drive for his family owned team in the ARCA RE/MAX Series event while taking the reins of MacDonald Motorsports’ No. 81 entry for Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series contest.

MC2 Energy Drink will serve as an associate marketing partner for Sheltra’s No. 60 ARCA RE/MAX Series Dodge Charger for Thursday’s Kansas Lottery 150 and his No. 81 NASCAR Nationwide Series Dodge Charger for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300.

Available in Berry Blue and Cherry Red, MC2 Energy Drink is formulated to taste good, quench your thirst and provide that boost of energy you can drink and enjoy.

MC2 Energy Drink has a long-standing marketing partnership in the NASCAR Nationwide Series but this weekend will mark the company’s first alliance with the Indiantown, Florida native.

“I’m very honored to represent MC2 Energy Drink this weekend at Kansas,” said Sheltra, who will make his fourth career NASCAR Nationwide Series start Saturday. “I’ve known the great people at MC2 Energy Drink for a while but now to be on the same team is hopefully the start of a long lasting and winning relationship.”

Ronald Serota, President of MC2 Energy Drink offered his thoughts on teaming with this up and coming driver. “We’ve been looking at Patrick for a long time now. He brings everything we’re looking for on and off the track to the table and that just overwhelms us. We’re looking forward to being part of a successful weekend at Kansas Speedway and working with Patrick for a long time to come.”

Sheltra admits he has a busy weekend ahead of him but is grasping the hectic schedule with open arms.

“This is racing at it’s best,” he said. “We’re going to run the ARCA race on Thursday and we should have a shot to win the race. Then after that, I’m going to be focused on the No. 81 car in the Nationwide Series. I want to do everyone a good job. We’re proud to have Buffalo Wings & Rings and MC2 Energy Drink aboard for my second run with MacDonald Motorsports and I’m hoping we can come away with a top-20 finish.”
