Valentino Rossi alcanza su victoria número 100

Assen, Países Bajos – Valentino Rossi ha conseguido este sábado, la victoria número 100 de su carrera deportiva tras ganar el Gran Premio de Holanda de Motociclismo de MotoGP celebrado esta mañana en el circuito de Assen.

Ya la temporada pasada, el italiano igualó y superó las 90 victorias de uno de los mitos de este deporte, el español Ángel Nieto y llega en ésta a la mágica cifra de 100 victorias, sólo por detrás de su compatriota, otro mito, Giacomo Agostini, que consiguió 122 victorias.

El piloto celebró esta efemérides desplegando, con la ayuda de su club de fans, un enorme cartel de 15 metros con las fotos de sus 100 victorias.

Rossi destacó la importancia de conseguir este logro en el circuito holandés, considerado “la catedral” del motociclismo, ya que el Gran Premio de Holanda se celebra ininterrumpidamente desde 1949, el más antiguo del mundial.

La carrera fue mas tranquila de lo esperado y Rossi fue el claro dominador de la misma prácticamente desde las primeras vueltas. Esta victoria le coloca, además, en la primera posición provisional de la clasificación general del campeonato del mundo por delante de Jorge Lorenzo y Casey Stoner, segundo y tercero también en la carrera de hoy.
