In each direction, a line of State Highway Patrol cars was followed by a formation of Department of Transportation construction trucks. A cluster of awaiting vehicles went honking across for a few minutes, then traffic levels returned to the sparse levels more typical of 5 AM. The blue wavy sculpture adorns the median on each end. White LED lighting illuminates the bridge surface; the approaches use the currently common yellowish lights. 5:06 AM 2008-09-18.
