A collision between a bus and a train has killed 16 people in northern Mexico.

Another 30 people were injured Friday when the train slammed into the bus in the city of Anahuace, Nuevo Leon state emergency officials say.

Witnesses say the bus failed to stop at a railroad crossing, despite a warning light.

The death toll for the accident that happened near Mexico's border with Texas is expected to rise, authorities say.
