Sanction for Auto Race Meet.

The New York Times
23 August 1910

Chairman Butler of the Contest Committee of the A. A. A. issued a sanction yesterday for the two-day auto race meet at the Brighton Beach Motordrome on Labor Day and the Saturday preceding.  Barney Oldfield and George Robertson will be the star speed contenders, meeting each day in ten-mile and one-hour races under conditions which call for skill and speed, and not mere racing luck.
