AVONDALE, Arizona – The fourth race of the 2016 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) season will see Team Kapusta return to the race track with driver Timmy Hill aboard for Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 from Phoenix (Ariz.) International Raceway.

In a partnership with Rick Ware Racing (RWR), Hill will drive the No. 25 Team Kapusta Racing Chevrolet Camaro in his first XFINITY Series event of the year. Team Kapusta will attempt to make their third XFINITY Series race, all coming in the desert sun of PIR’s 1.0-mile oval.

“It’s really an humbling experience for us to return to the NASCAR XFINITY Series this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway,” said team principal Thom Kapusta. “It’s our plan to run a handful of races this year, with our exact number still underdetermined, as our schedule could increase as we continue to have discussions with potential marketing partners.

“For now, we’re focused on making the best of each race we’re entered and we’re excited to have the opportunity to have Timmy (Hill) back with our team, while also having the experienced leadership and expertise of Jeff Spraker and his team.

Hill, 23, will attempt to make his 83rd career XFINITY Series start and sixth overall at Phoenix. In his previous five runs, the native has a XFINITY track best of 18th in 2011 driving for Rick Ware Racing.

Reuniting with Kapusta and Spraker, Hill is thankful for the opportunity to race the No. 25 Chevrolet this weekend and hopes to improve on the team’s 27th place finish from last November.

“I can’t thank Thom and Jeff again for this opportunity,” offered Hill. “We learned a lot in our first race together and even though the track conditions will be quite different this time around, I’m looking forward to getting our car tuned in for qualifying and then turn our attention to the race where we hope to improve on our finish from last year.”

In practice on Friday, the Team Kapusta enjoyed moderate success. Utilizing two of the three practice sessions to their advantage, the team jointly agreed to skip the third and final session to prepare for race day, where they’ll likely have to qualify on time to earn a start berth.

The team also debuted their new marketing partner for the 200-lap event in Wrap Nation.

"Wrap Nation is very excited to work with team Kapusta racing and Timmy hill this weekend at Phoenix,” offered president Zachariah Lujano. “We have some great strategic alliances within ARCA, NHRA and now NASCAR. Our suite of services is a perfect match for this industry and we look forward to continuing the growth of our partnerships within the Motorsports space and having our product on the car.”

The Axalta Faster. Tougher. Brighter. 200 (200 laps / 200 miles) is the fourth of 33 NASCAR XFINITY Series on the 2016 schedule. Qualifying is set for race day, Saturday, March 12 beginning at 9:45 a.m. The 40-car field will take the green flag shortly after 12:30 p.m. with live coverage on FOX, the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite Radio, Channel 90). All times are Mountain.
