CORONA, Calif. (Jan. 8, 2016) -- WC Vision LLC, producers of the Pirelli World Challenge, today announced a new partnership with aFe Power - advanced FLOW engineering as the official intake and air filter partner for the 2016 road racing season.

aFe Power - advanced FLOW engineering, Inc., headquartered in Corona, Calif., is a manufacturer of high performance cold air intakes, air filters, fluid filters, exhaust systems, intake manifolds, intercoolers, turbochargers, programmers, differential covers, transmission pans and throttle body spacers for late model cars, trucks, SUV's and motorcycles.

Founded in 1999, aFe Power provides a product line of over 2,300 applications which are all designed, developed and manufactured in its two facilities in Southern California.

Pirelli World Challenge enters its 27th year of competition in 2016 and comes off its most exciting racing campaign which saw nine different auto manufacturers finish in the top eleven point positions in the GT category as well as series Drivers’ Champions representing six different manufacturers: Johnny O’Connell (Cadillac), Frankie Montecalvo (Mercedes-Benz), Colin Thompson (Porsche), Michael Cooper (Chevrolet), Corey Fergus (Porsche), Jason Wolfe (Kia) and Johan Schwartz (Chevrolet). Manufacturer titles went to Porsche (GT), Ford (GTS), Mazda (TC) and Honda (TCA).

A variety of new elements have been added to its 2016 series including an 11-weekend schedule, an event partnership with the SRO Blancpain Intercontinental Challenge and live television showings.

The 2016 Pirelli World Challenge opens at the Circuit of the Americas on March 3-6 with a blockbuster headliner weekend featuring all seven PWC classes in action as well as the six-hour SRO Blancpain Endurance GT feature.
