100 CARS ARE INSPECTED PER DAY IN LUDINGTON

The Ludington Daily News
May 24, 1929

Cars are being inspected at the rate of 100 per day in Ludington under the motor vehicle safety equipment campaign instituted by city police Friday.

The drive started Friday morning under the direction of Timothy J. Barber, chief of police.

"Brakes appear to be in a very good condition this year," Mr. Barber commented Saturday afternoon. "But we have run across a substantial number of drivers who did not have their operator's licenses.

We occasionally found a car without windshield wiper, rear-view mirror or defective lights, but the brakes ran very well."
