Driving Charge Gets $276 Fine

Drexel Dave Burnett, charged with drunk driving yesterday pleaded guilty instead of not guilty to the charges, with a prior conviction.

Burnett, who was arrested Sept. 13, by city police was fined $276 and sentenced to five days in the county jail.

Judge Robert Bainbridge forwarded the suspect's driving license to Sacramento to be considered for suspension.

Also during yesterday's court session, Gerald Benjamin Wiegum was arraigned for drunk driving, but the hearing was continued to Dec. 19.

A preliminary hearing for Welcome K. Bebout, accused on morals charges, was set for Dec. 19, in Lodi Justice Court.
