Special to The New York Times.

NEWARK, N. J., July 11.—By the election of ninety-one members last night, the New Jersey Automobile and Motor Club, whose home is in this city, made certain its position as the second largest automobile club in this country by outdistancing the Automobile Club of Buffalo. The membership of the local club is considerably over 1,000, and with the scores of applications in hand, which will come up for action at the next meeting of the organization, the list will place the club on a membership par with the Automobile Club of America.
