Michael Lia
SYDNEY, Australia (April 30, 2012) - - Australian racecar driver Michael Lia has seen a tremendous growth in support and interest in his racing career through his website MichaelLiaRacing.com, which continues to soar with unique visitors and hits.

Since the site’s initial launch six months ago, a recent surge of online support has lifted the views to over 1,000,000 and with Lia expected to make his official move to the United States in May, there doesn’t appear to any dissipation in sight.

“I’m very thankful for the growing interest in my racing endeavors,” said Lia. “Even though I don’t have a healthy presence on the racetrack right now, we’re working hard on ending that. My story is definitely unique and I think that propels us in a lot of ways. I’m looking forward to moving to the United States and hopefully I’ll be sailing around the track very, very soon.”

Some of the recent interest on Lia’s online portal can be contributed to his appearance at the beginning of the month where Lia attended a fundraiser supported by Autism Spectrum and Beyond the Square who support networks for families who have children that are autistic. They also provide support and educational facilities that increase developmental activities for children with autism. This fundraiser will be in aid of the Beyond the Square month for Autism, raising much needed funds to support educational facilities who do not receive government support or funding.

“It was great to be a part of something so special,” mentioned Lia, whose seven-year old niece Prudence was diagnosed with Autism three years ago. “It was a day, where we made a lot of children smile and we saw an enormous amount of people come together and help create a message.”

After running Late Models at Franklin County (Va.) Speedway and Ace (N.C.) Speedway respectively, Lia is hoping and planning to advance himself into the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards later this year.

“My associates have been talking to some of the ARCA Racing Series teams and I’m looking forward to putting something concrete together very soon. I’m still hopeful that we can acquire the sponsorship that will allow us to compete in as many races as possible to better prepare us for bigger and better quests down the road.”
