MILLVILLE, New Jersey (June 30, 2012) - - In his 38th career ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start, Chad Hackenbracht in the No. 58 Tastee Apple Chevrolet Impala netted his first career Menards pole qualifying presented by Ansell pole setting the tone for tomorrow afternoon’s All-American Race Weekend presented by Global Barter Corporation at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP).

Hackenbracht’s negotiated the 2.3-mile paved Thunderbolt Raceway in a time of 81.804 seconds at 99.017 miles per hour, the only team to break the 99 miles per hour bracket for the 10th race of the season. With his stunning and surprising qualifying run, the New Philadelphia, Ohio native also gained 15 points towards the crucial ARCA championship battle. Hackenbracht’s run produced the fastest time of the weekend thus far bettering road course aces Andrew Ranger and Tom Hessert lap times respectively from the two practice sessions held earlier in the day.

“Kevin (Reed, crew chief) keeps telling me about the win and how it'll happen when we least expect it, but the pole award came when we least expected it," said Hackenbracht, who will search for his first career victory. "I've been looking forward to coming here. I love doing road course racing. I did the Skip Barber school two or three years ago and I've always had a thing for road courses.”

He added, “I want to thank my mom and dad, Kevin and the guys on this CGH Motorsports team. We have a real good racecar for tomorrow’s race. We just need to keep it on the track and be around for the end when it really counts. It sure would be a great way to end the weekend by winning from the pole.”

Hackenbracht started 19th and finished ninth last year at New Jersey, his only previous road course start in the ARCA Racing Series. The effort was also the 20-year old’s first top-10 run of his stock car career.

The All-American Race Weekend presented by Global Barter Corporation (67 laps / 150 miles) is the 10th of 20 events on the 2012 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. The fifth ARCA race on the 2.3-mile paved Thunderbolt Raceway is a two-day show. The event will take the green flag Sunday, July 1 shortly after 1:00 p.m. The race will not be televised but additional coverage including a radio broadcast and timing and scoring will be available through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com. All times are local (Eastern).
