ASHEBORO, North Carolina (June 17, 2011) - - After a mini-vacation, NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) contender Ryan Wilson is re-energized and ready to return to battle this Saturday at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway.

For Wilson, the downtime on the beach offered the chance for the Randleman, North Carolina to recharge his batteries, reflect on what’s happened thus far on the track in 2011 and focus on the future – which includes a 100-lap dash Saturday at the historic North Carolina race track.

After eight races, Wilson stands fifth in the championship standings with three top-fives and six top-10s but the rising star is determined now more than ever to deliver what the fans are wanting; the No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry in victory lane.

“The vacation was nice, but I’m ready to go back racing,” said Wilson, winner of last Fall’s Richard Petty Driver Search II. “We have 11 more races left this year and we want to make the best of them. We’re anxious to put our No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry back in victory lane and I think this weekend is as good as any to make it happen.”

While Wilson has shown considerable strength in 2011, some misfortune along the way has tried to rattle the team’s cage. Despite those obstacles, the Ryan Wilson Motorsports (RWM) team has remained resilient and determined to overcome the challenges they’ve faced.

Some of that misfortune included a third-place finish which later would be thrown-out along with the top-two finishers equally zero points for the RWM organization. The toss-out is further forcing the team to come with a new and vigorous strategy to propel themselves back into the championship chase.

“We’ve had some bad luck along the way this year. One in particular that the team still does believe could and should have been avoided. But, we cannot fret on what has happened in the past. We have to move on and conquer those incidents that try and set you back. This is an incredible team with a lot of heart and courage and the best is only yet to come.”

Recently, the “Design the Ride” contest which offered Randolph Bank’s customers children a chance to design the No. 12 Randolph Toyota Camry for the upcoming July 6th, 250-lap Super Five contest. The winner will be announced in the immediate future.

“It’s going to be a lot of fun for me to go through all of the drawings,” offered Wilson. “It will definitely be hard though to pick out the best one, because what I’ve already seen has been impressive. I appreciate all the kids who did participate and we’re looking forward to having the winner with our RWM team here in a couple weeks.”

RWM will also make an announcement in the upcoming weeks about their plans to compete in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards with championship contending team Win-Tron Racing, based out of Lakeville, Minnesota.
