SOPWITH MOTORSPORTS to PRODUCE MID-AMERICAN STOCK CAR SERIES

Mid American Stock Car Series

Short track racing returns to national television this year through the Mid-American Stock Car Series.

The elite sportsman touring series has held races throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and surrounding states for more than twenty years and represents the finest oval track tradition.

The tape-delayed telecasts will be 30-minutes in length, allowing for multiple network airings and broad sampling by new viewers. Rob Klepper (CBS, ESPN2, NBC Sports) will host the show with Olivia Pritchett (TUFF TV, Untamed Sports TV) handling pit interviews. The program will air in a traditional sportscast format that stock car fans will find familiar and easy to watch.

“We wanted to televise this series because it combines grass-roots racing with historic venues,” said Executive Producer Stephen Cox. “The Milwaukee Mile and LaCrosse Fairgrounds are great tracks that race fans want to see. The Mid-American racecars are aesthetically pleasing and very competitive. The rest is easy. They're providing everything we need to put great short track racing on television.”

The telecast will utilize between seven and ten camera angles, depending on the size and layout of the race track. Multiple on-board camera systems will put viewers in the drivers seat throughout each program.

The following races are scheduled to be televised (more events may be added):

■June 21, Grundy County Fairgrounds Speedway
■June 22, Jefferson Speedway
■July 8-9, Milwaukee Mile
■July 11, State Park Speedway
■Sept 20-21, Elko Speedway
■Sept 29, National Short Track Championships at Rockford Speedway
■Oct 5, LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway

Mid-American racing will air in approximately 30 million households on the TUFF TV national cable network. Air dates and times will be announced shortly. Each program will also be aired in its entirety on Motorsportworld.tv, where all shows will be available for one year after their television debut. Additional network partners will be announced soon.
