Mid American Stock Car Series
September 27, 2013

Sept 27, 2013 - Sunday, September 29th, the Mid American Stock Car Series returns to Rockford Speedway’s National Short Track Championships for the 21st straight year.

Mid-American’s best will compete for the brass ring for 75 laps. Among those mounting the challenge are three champions and two rookies and the veteran without a title leading the way.

Rockford’s 48th annual NSTC will also be host to the passing of the traveling Vercauteren Memorial Trophy. The Trophy will pass from last year’s race winner, Kenny Joosten, to this Sunday’s victor. The Vercauteren Trophy was born 24 years ago to honor a family that has dedicated their lives to the betterment of Stock car racing in the upper mid-west. Gary Vercauteren founded the Mid-American Stock Car Series and ran it until an untimely death on his way to Oktoberfest in 2005.
