Hampton, GA (September 2, 2012) - Aric Almirola, driving the No. 5 Jordan Truck Sales – Courtesy Ford Wauters Motorsports NASCAR Camping World Truck, posted a fifth-place finish in the running of the Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chips 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway Friday night.

Almirola placed the Ford F150 in the 13th-place position on the starting grid for the 130-lap race on the 1.54-mile quad-oval track in Hampton, Georgia.

Almirola advanced to the sixth-place position by lap 19 but was getting loose as the race went on dropping to the eighth-place position when the caution came out on lap 30. After a slow pit stop Almirola came back out on the track in the 16th-place position for the restart.

By lap 83, Almirola was back up to the sixth-place position when green-flag pit stops started, handing the team the lead on lap 84. Almirola pitted for four tires, fuel and a wedge adjustment returning to the track in the 10th-place position.

Caution on the racetrack on lap 106 gave the No. 5 Jordan Truck Sales – Courtesy Ford team the opportunity to hit pit road for four tires and fuel on lap 107 coming back out on the track in the eighth-place position for the restart with just 20 laps remaining in the race.

Almirola again showed the Wauters Motorsports Ford F150’s capabilities by advancing to the fifth-place for the finish of the Jeff Foxworthy's Grit Chips 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has an off week and will return to Iowa Speedway for the running of the American Ethanol 200 Presented by HyVee Saturday, September 15, 2012.
