Motorparks.co.uk has been praised as having the top franchised dealer website by one of the UK’s top networking organisations for senior executives and managers working in the auto retail industry.

The Auto Retail Network determined that the Motorparks website stood out over 49 other online portals set up by well-known franchised dealerships in its Website Report 2013. This included Pentagon, which was named the second most appealing website in the category.

Detailing why Motorparks ranked higher than its competitors, the Auto Retail Network pointed out that the vehicle dealer’s website is rich with content that is functional, engaging, well-structured and focused towards the customer. Motorparks also looks to have acted quickly within the changing landscape of the technology world. This is because the Auto Retail Network was impressed at how well the website worked on tablet computers and smartphone devices.

Rupert Saunders, the Managing Director at the Auto Retail Network, acknowledged that many companies and brands that were monitored as part of the Website Report 2013 have failed to change their strategies when approaching the aforementioned gadgets. In an article covering the release of the report on the Auto Retail Network website, Mr Saunders said: “Our study for The Website Report 2013 indicates that many are still stuck in old ways of thinking and failing to adapt to the new retail environment such as the growing use of mobile devices. We hope the report will provide a benchmark of best practice for the industry to focus on and improve for the future.”

The Website Report 2013 – the first research of its kind conducted by the Auto Retail Network – was established as a means to rank the websites of franchised dealerships, car manufacturers and used car companies using data gained from Google, MotoNovo Finance, autotorq and Auto Trader.

Ian Godbold, the Marketing Director at Motorparks, was keen to point out how pleased the company was to be regarded so highly by the Auto Retail Network. He noted: "It's gratifying to be recognised for the creativity, innovation, and especially pleasing that the judges highlighted our attention towards consumer focus and ease of navigation as this is at the heart of everything we do, to ensure our guests receive the best and most informative experience when searching for their next vehicle purchase."
