Fort Worth, TX – Alex Tagliani and his Barracuda Racing crew are ready to go racing under the lights at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday night. Tagliani will start the Firestone 500 in P16.

The Barracuda Racing crew started the weekend as the seventh-fastest car in the first practice. With Tagliani earning the pole position for the past two years at TMS, the team’s focus is on race setup.

After the qualifying run, Tagliani stated, “We have some work to do. Obviously qualifying was not what we wanted. We can do well in the race from wherever we start, but it’s unfortunate that we missed it by that much.”

Team owner Bryan Herta added, “We’re making progress. We didn’t spend a lot of time focusing on the qualifying setup, which may have hurt us a bit with our starting position on the grid, but we’re counting on the race setup to help us, going forward.”

Barracuda Racing has its sights set on helping Honda Racing HPD achieve its 200th IndyCar victory during the Firestone 550. The 228-lap competition will be broadcast live, Saturday night on ABC from 8:30-11 p.m. ET.
