Garrett Marchant #77 Racing
May 31, 2010

Garrett Marchant and the #77 team of BMR Motorsports began the May 29th race at the Coastal Plains Raceway by starting last in the field.Garrett was hopeful as his devoted fans cheered him on.Garrett drove hard with determination to move towards the front of the field.Garrett ended up finishing in the fifth postion not the finish he wanted but it definately was not terrible!

Garretts Quotes:
"I was really confident going into the race thinking we could win.In out two practice sessions we were first and second on the board. Then when we drew for starting spots lucky me drew the last spot.So it was a hard fought fifth place finish.I have got to thank my Dad, Tom Elliott, and my Grandad for helping me out. Also I would like to thank my sponsors: Adams Lawn and Landscapes, Hugo Auto Sales, Howards Tire Shop, Easy Muffler Shop, Plaid Racing, Carolina Service Center, and http://www.racefandigest.com/ "

Questions for Garrett:

Whats kept you from getting the win? "Thats pretty easy to answer actually we didn't have the speed. It was kind of hard to get to the front knowing the leaders have 2 more cylinders and can outrun you unless something happens to them."

What is your next move/intentions for the next race? " To win...but it's not that simple.Saturday showed I wasn't scared to beat and bang to win or even to get a postion or positions at that.I thik I have a good handling car I just need a little more speed to get up there and win, but really I can do nothing different from race to race."
