The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) today posted its third batch of model year 2003 New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) crash test results, which are now available on the agency's World Wide Web site: http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/.
New model year 2003 ratings released for frontal impact are BMW X5 4x4 four-door utility, BMW Z4 convertible, Cadillac Escalade 4x4 four-door utility, Cadillac Escalade EXT 4x4 four door utility, Cadillac ESV 4x4 four-door utility, Chevrolet Avalanche 4x4 four-door utility, Chevrolet Suburban 1500 4x4 four-door utility, Chevrolet Tahoe 4x4 four door utility, Ford Expedition 4x4 four-door utility, GMC Yukon 4x4 four-door utility, GMC Yukon XL 4x4 four-door utility, GMC Yukon Denali 4x4 four-door utility, GMC Yukon Denali XL 4x4 four-door utility, Honda Element 4x4 four-door utility, Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 four-door utility, Kia Sorento 4x4 four-door utility, Lincoln Navigator 4x4 four-door utility, Lincoln Town Car four-door, Mercury Grand Marquis four-door car, Mitsubishi Outlander 4x4 four-door utility, Nissan Murano 4x4 four-door utility, Toyota 4-Runner 4x4 four-door utility, and Toyota Sequoia 4x4 four-door utility.
New model year 2003 ratings released for side impact are the BMW X5 four-door utility, Mercury Grand Marquis four-door car, Mitsubishi Montero Sport four-door utility, Subaru Legacy four-door car, Toyota 4-Runner four-door utility and Toyota Highlander four-door utility.
The first model year 2004 ratings released for both frontal impact and side impact are for the Chrysler Pacifica 4x4 four-door utility.
