A. A. A. Considering Routes for the 1910 Annual Event.

President Lewis R. Speare of the American Automobile Association was in New York City several days last week in conference with other officials regarding the work for the coming year.  The choice of route and general conditions for the 1910 A. A. A. National endurance tour were some of the things discussed, for already there have been received from different parts of the country requests for recognition in laying out of the route.

Names for the new Contest Board were suggested, and it is intended to appoint representatives in all parts of the country.  After the tentative list is made up by Chairman S. M. Butler, a conference will be held with the Manufacturers' Contest Association, after which a definite announcement will follow.

For meetings and conferences to be held under A. A. RR. auspices during the forthcoming automobile shows in New York City, beginning New Year's Eve, dates have been definitely assigned for several sessions.  The first meeting of the new Executive Committee will be held at the National Headquarters, 437 Fifth Avenue, Tuesday, Jan. 11.

"Good Roads" will bring delegates from many clubs for a meeting Jan. 5 to be presided over by Chairman George C. Diehl of the Good Roads Board.  An interesting special feature, introduced by Secretary F. H. Elliott, will be a gathering of secretaries of State associations and clubs, the day and date being Friday, Jan. 14.  Chairman Powell Evans of the Touring Board and Chairman Terry of the Legislative Board fill have a board meeting during the show period.  The Directors of the New York State Automobile Association have decided to meet in New York City Thursday, Jan. 13.  All meetings will be at 437 Fifth Avenue.
