Automobiles for Fifth Avenue — Fares Raised to 10 Cents.

The extension of the Fifth Avenue Stage Line to One Hundred and Tenth Street, the establishment of several cross-town lines through the park and the increase of fares to 10 cents are the principal innovations contemplated by the New York Electric Vehicle Transportation Company, which will equip the Fifth Avenue line with electric automobiles.  Whether, under the act just signed by Gov. Roosevelt, automobiles will be run on other thoroughfares, has not yet been decided.

The company will raise its fares in order to place its affairs on a paying basis.
