Sheriff and Deputy Jail Two Men Who Say Homes Are in Washington.

CLARENDON, Va., Dec. 25.—Seven gallons of whiskey were confiscated last night when Sheriff A. C. Clements and Deputy Sheriff Z. O. Kines held up a speeding automobile near Clarendon.

Two men who describe themselves as James Beckwith and C. C. Hurley, both of Washington, were placed in jail, charged with transporting liquor.  The finding of a revolver resulted in an additional charge of carrying concealed weapons being placed against them.
