ARCA RE/MAX Series Race No. 12, Request Foods-GFS 200
Berlin Raceway, Marne , Michigan

Race Information: Event: Request Foods-GFS 200, Saturday, July 7 at 8:30 p.m. Local Time Track: Berlin Raceway Qualifying: Saturday, July 7 at 5:00 p.m. Local Time Track Length: .4 mile paved oval.

Michigan Recap: Dominick Casola made his ARCA RE/MAX Series debut at Michigan International Speedway last month. After qualifying 31st, Casola patiently made his way through the field but became victim to equipment failure. Despite the failure, the team was able to continue and Casola dug hard finishing 25th.

The Return To Short Tracks: While Casola enjoys competing on the bigger tracks of the ARCA RE/MAX Series, he thoroughly enjoys the tough short tracks set on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. Casola will make his sixth career ARCA short track race on Saturday night.

Berlin Debut: For the 11th time this season, Casola will make his ARCA debut at a track that he has never been too. Despite the inexperience at the Western Michigan based track, Casola’s car owner Andy Belmont has plenty of starts at the Johnny Benson owned track giving the rookie confidence heading into the race.

Point Standings: Competing in 10 of the 11 races on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Casola sits 18th in the championship standings just 85 points from 17th place competitor Brad Smith. Only 175 points separate Casola from the top-15 in the championship standings.

DominckCasola.com: Has launched featuring the latest on the ARCA rookie, his team and sponsors. Check it out and stay a part of the action!

Come Meet Dominick: Dominick Casola will join the rest of his competitors for an on-track autograph session on Saturday, July 7 beginning at 6:15pm Local Time.

Andy Belmont Racing, Berlin Raceway Pre-Race Quotes:
Dominick Casola, driver of the No. 1 A. Casola Farms Ford:

On Michigan: “I was really looking forward to the race after we had a fast car during practice. Unfortunately we had some hiccups during the race which kept us from our first top-10 finish of the season. But, I learned a lot and I want to thank my team for all their hard work. We’re going to keep digging.”

On Berlin Raceway: “I’ve never been there, but I’m looking forward to going back short track racing. Our short track program has been great all year long. We haven’t always had the finishes we deserved, but we’ve had good cars. This weekend, we’re going in looking to give no mercy and collect our first top-10 finish of the season.”

On The Point Standings: “I can only imagine where we would be had we competed in all 11 races. I think we’ve done a good job all things considered. We were on a stretch on some solid top-15 and top-20 finishes and we’ll look to improve on that this weekend. I think if we play our cards right we might be able to gain a position on Saturday night.”

On Goals For Second Half Of The Season: “Obviously, the biggest goal is to finish the races and learn each week. But I think we are capable of much more than that. I think we can win races and finish in the top-10 easily. I really think you are going to see good things come from the Andy Belmont Racing team the rest of the season.”
