Brode Heads To Iowa With Strict Agenda

“Short Track Veteran In Control Of The No. 48”

No doubt that Dan Brode’s two attempted starts in the ARCA RE/MAX Series haven’t come without frustration. But Brode and his Carter-2-Motorsports have picked up the pieces and are hungry for a solid performance at Iowa Speedway Saturday night.

Brode carrying sponsorship from FreeFeds.org will look to put his Carter-2-Motorsports back on track since the team missed the race at Toledo Speedway two weeks ago. The team has worked on their program extensively with the recent break from competition. Now, Brode is feeling firm and ready to put the No. 48 back in contention.

“ Toledo was tough for us, but we’re fighters,” said Brode. “This Carter-2-Motorsports group have worked their butts off since Toledo to make sure we have a strong package for Iowa this weekend. We don’t want to fall into the same predicament we did in Toledo .”

He continued, “Car owner Roger Carter and mentor James “Harvey” Hylton have been awesome. Roger has been supporting me and guiding me and James, there’s not much you can say about him, other than he is a true bible to racing. He is such an asset to me and this team.”

“The team attempted to make Iowa Speedway last year and came up a little short. Hopefully we can take their notes from last year and collaborate from ours on Saturday and put a strong setup for qualifying and work towards a good finish on Saturday night. The team hasn’t had a top-20 finish since Salem , and I would like nothing more than to stay out of trouble and bring some much needed confidence to the organization,” Brode spoke.

The Free Feds Foundation (FreeFeds.org) will sponsor Brode’s attempted inaugural ARCA run.

FreeFeds.org’s sole purpose is to gain public support for adding parole for non-violent, non repeat offenders to the federal prison system. They are of the belief that the federal justice system is in need of a total reform. The organization, however, is mainly interested in working toward adding a system of parole for non-violent offenders as part of that overall reform.

In addition to FreeFeds.org, Explore America, The Idaho Observer, RVrentToGo.com, 100fold.net, and Accelerating Developments International (ADI) will join the team’s effort at Iowa Speedway.

“The team’s sponsors have been great through our tough luck lately. They know that bad luck is apart of the game in racing. However, we’ve suffered enough of it to last us the rest of the season, so hopefully Iowa is the jump-start that we need to revamp our 2007 season,” Brode concluded.

Carter-2-Motorsports (www.carter2motorsports.com) whose ARCA RE/MAX Series operation is based in Statesville , North Carolina will run Dodge Chargers in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (NNC) in 2007. The team will run the No. 48 handed over from the legendary James Hylton who retired from ARCA competition following the 2006 season finale at the new Iowa Speedway. The organization will also run a second ARCA team part time this season utilizing the No. 67. The organization also plans to run the No. 54 in the premier series of NASCAR, the NNC series later this year.

The Prairie Meadows 250 (200 laps/168 miles) is the ninth of 23 events on the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. This second annual Prairie Meadows 250 is a one day show. Practice begins Saturday, June 2 with a two hour (11:30am-1:30pm Local Time) session planned. ARCA SIM Factory pole qualifying is slated for later in the afternoon at 4:00pm Local Time. The event will take the green flag under the lights beginning at 8:00pm Local Time. The race will be televised live on SPEED with additional race coverage online at arcaracing.com
